2017 TASTE OFF FOOD FESTIVAL: What To Watch Out For At The Event…

Chef and co-founder of Le Bernardin a French elite restaurant, Eric Ripert brilliantly captured the essence of creativity with his compendious saying; “The art of cooking: it’s when you mix craftsmanship at the highest level with creativity.”

These words aptly resonate with the ongoing innovation set forward by exceptional drivers on the verge of redefining culinary experiences in Nigeria.

In a bid to create awareness about Nigeria’s rich food culture, the 5th edition of the Taste off Food Festivals aims to showcase the rich diversity in Nigerian cuisine and delicacies as it brings vendors, manufacturers, exhibitors, local producers and service producers together at the one day event.

‘Taste Off’ Lagos is Nigeria’s foremost outdoor food festival which show cases Nigeria’s diversity in fine dinning and food retailing. The very best exhibit their Signature dishes created by their celebrated Chefs/ Cooks to specially reflect the Food Philosophy of our ever-bubbling City – LAGOS!

With over 100 food vendors, with the expectation of 10,000 guests, this event promises to be a lifetime experience for everyone. From finger licking foods to live musical performances to live Chef demonstrations to vintage wine and liquor tasting from world-class brands, it’s a day for the whole family to enjoy.

The one day event with the theme, “Taste Off: Food Festivals ‘A Lagos Culinary Experience” will hold on the 19th, November, 2017 at Eko Atlantic Waterfront, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The landmark edition is a continuation of re-writing the history on Nigerian cuisine and its impact on generations to come with the ultimate objective of evolving into a food loving tourist’s dream.

According to the organizers, the festival director Bisola Dejonwo-Tokan told us that the objective is to promote the Nigerian cuisine and food recipes as well as the production of quality, locally produced foods to encourage healthy eating and community health.

Their intent is to offer people a unique and rare dining experience one that will etch in the hearts of those who played hosts to the especial event.

The event will also be used to raise national awareness about food, promote and increase the availability and access of healthy foods to urban communities.

Part of the key attractions are; VIP lounge catered and dedicated butler service, International food pavilion, live cooking shows demonstration and competitions.

The organizers of this commendable initiative are dedicated to ingrain Nigeria as a world-class destination and home to lip-smacking African delicacies.

Some thousands of prominent personalities from Africa and the world will brave the Atlantic.

In a bid to have a very successful exhibition/festival, the event co-ordinator Mr Taofeek Okoya also express his profound gratitude to the supporters of the event while thanking the Lagos State internal Revenue service, Access Bank Plc, Knoor Cubes a brand of unilever, Jubaili Bros Engineering, Sunlight, and Miele among other sponsors and supporters of the laudable event.

While also addressing the reason why they support the festival, brand manager of Knoor cubes one of the event sponsors also thank the organisers for bringing this kind of event to its fore and agree to always support its course as the brand has a whole lot to do with the event as far as food matters are concerned.
