For a lot of people, the job of Abike Dabiri is a stroll in the park. For a while, the dark-complexioned woman has been questioned in relations to her job as the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on diaspora. Indeed, for many, Dabiri Erewa has not delivered, as she has hardly been involved in any heated issue involving the interests of Nigerians in other countries.
There have been allegations that she even turns down issues brought to her attention, categorically saying she doesn’t want to be a part of it. Ask musician Yinka Ajomale and he will confirm this. All these have thus seen the woman being tagged as a misplaced priority and a joker.
The woman recently got an opportunity to prove herself with the incident of Nigerians being sold into slavery in Libya. With the unfortunate incident, Dabiri Erewa got the opportunity to show what she could do, as she was one of the people in the forefront of releasing information about the evacuation of stranded Nigerians from Libya back to their country. For once, Dabiri Erewa has proved useful.
