Following the shocking passing of the popular Nollywood actress, Aisha Abimbola who reportedly died in the early hour of Wednesday 16 May, 2018 in faraway Canada.
The board and management of Audio Visual Rights Society (AVRS) the sole collective management organization (CMO) for cinematograph films in Nigeria express their profound condolence to the family of the deceased and the entire Nigerian movie industry.
In its letter dated May 16th, 2018, the General Manager/Ceo of AVRS, Olubunmi Fawole stated that Aisha also known as “Omoge Campus” will be missed, going by her active involvement in creating awareness and helping the entire industry to get involved in AVRS activities.
“The entire Board and Management of Audio Visual Right Society of Nigeria (AVRS), hereby wish to express our profound condolence to the entire executive and members of TAMPAN, YOVIPMAN and the Nigerian Movie Industry at large on the demise of Aisha Abimbola, who was until her death was a member of AVRS and actively took part in our users’ awareness programs”.
The chairman of AVRS, Mr Bond Emeruwa also added that the entire society and the industry at large will miss her; “We know this is a sad, and an emotional moment for the movie industry. We pray that God grants the members, friends and families the fortitude to bear the loss”.
