Oluremi Oyo, former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, is dead.
The veteran journalist and very first female president of the Nigerian Guild of editors died at the age of 62 yesterday in London, after a protracted illness, her family disclosed.
The cause of death was not disclosed.
Oyo, who also was special assistant, media to President Olusegun Obasanjo, was also President of the Guild of Editors and worked for many years with the International Press Service and the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
She is survived by her husband Vincent Oyo and children.
