Dupe Olusola, the Managing Director and CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, has etched her name in history as the first female CEO of a publicly quoted Nigerian company with a market capitalization surpassing one trillion naira.
Appointed as Transcorp Hotels’ CEO in March 2020, Olusola, with over 22 years of diverse corporate experience, has steered the company through challenges, notably leading it to profitability amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Her strategic leadership saw the company’s share price surge over 600% in the past year.
Olusola, formerly the Group Head of Marketing at UBA Plc, introduced innovation with the launch of Aura by Transcorp Hotels, a digital hospitality platform. Recognized for her accomplishments, she received the Leadership CEO of the Year 2023 award from Leadership Newspapers.
Holding a Master’s degree in Development Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UK universities, Olusola is married to Lanre Olusola, a renowned life coach. With two children, she stands as a role model, breaking barriers for aspiring young women with her resilience, innovation, and commitment to excellence in the Nigerian hospitality industry.
