We had predicted it was going to be massive, most probably one of the biggest parties and gathering of 2017 and true to type, it was in all ramifications. The guests list was too long, so we wouldn’t even go there at all. But we would just mention a few that we saw, likes of the Honourable Minister for Information, Tourism & Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, former 1st lady of Lagos Abimbola Fashola, former deputy Governor of Lagos, Sarah Susan, APC woman leader, Kemi Nelson, Chief Mrs. Bisi Abiola, Sade Okoya, Aramide Elegushi, Wosilat Seriki, Former inspector general of Police Musiliu Smith, Lagos state speaker, Hon. Obasa, Islar Animashaun, Olanrewaju Mohammed aka LAMEX, Oba Adeyemi Adegeye, Joko Oni, Mutiu Aare, Tunde Braimoh, Oba Saheed Elegushi, Hon. Eshinlokun, Kunle Bakare, Azuh Arinze, Dr. Muiz BANIRE, Mayor Akinpelu, Susan Eyo Ikpe and very many others. The entertainment provided was top notch all the way, with Queen Ayo Balogun on the bandstand and she did justice to her reputation as a provider of first class entertainment of the awesome kind, she was ably supported by a wonder deejay, who was a wizard on the wheel of steel. Venue like we had already made mention in our earlier report was the Balmoral Hall at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos. And the venue was filled to capacity. Apart from the fact that security was A-class to wade off miscreants and others not invited. Hall was very well decorated, with massive posters of the celebrants everywhere in strategic places. It was a sea of royal blue at the venue, as people had bought the beautiful Aso Ebi in support of the birthday lady, who had just clocked 50, her jubilee year with composure! The fashionista herself dazzled all the way in her various outfits! One of the major highlights of this birthday celebration, was the presentation of a brand spanking new Rolls Royce saloon car by the birthday girl to herself, for all the hardwork of years past. The birthday girl was chauffeur driven in the impressive car into the hall, will all know that the car has a way of separating the boys from the men, in this case the lady/woman from the girl, as she was the cynosure of all eyes and many of those who came were awe strucked and quite impressed. Thereafter her Imam prayed for her and then, it was then the time to cut her humongous cake, which was supervised by the Honourable Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, but countdown was done by Mrs Abimbola Fashola, former 1st lady of Lagos. It was now the opportunity for open heavens as the guests came out in droves to dance with HAJIA Montai and spray her continuously. It was an unprecedented and impressive Naira rain. One had thought people claimed there was recession, it’s obvious it’s only biting some and not all. The elated celebrant had at least 3 changes of clothes, one after another at intervals and they were all quite impressive outfits at that, it wasn’t too surprising though, as she had always being known to be a fashionista par excellence and as par her new machine too, she’s a known car buff too, with a Jaguar, Bentley and now a Rolls Royce in her garage amongst other car brands.
