When the doors of the club formerly known as Liquid Lounge on Ogundana Street, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, are thrown open on Friday, August 24th, it would signal the beginning of a new chapter in the nightlife of Lagos – the state otherwise known as the entertainment capital of Africa. Now to be known as Liquid Lounge Plus and under a new management, the revitalised and remodelled entertainment hub, originally owned by Lagos Hilton, comes with an exquisite sports bar, lounge and restaurant named Metro-Reverb Bar and Kitchen,Its pre-existing features like ample parking lot and water-tight security among others that made it the darling of fun lovers and revellers have been re-jigged and reinforced.
In a statement signed by Otunba Femi Davies, a renowned media practitioner and chief operator of the club, he said, “We are proud of the work we have done with Liquid Lounge Plus. There’s no one that has been here that did not commend the renovation works and interior design handled by Hannax Consulting, an architectural and engineering consultancy firm. We took our time to painstakingly put together a complete entertainment experience, not just a dance club, for our clientele. We also have space for events.” He said the club will now be a melting pot for elites and entertainers and the corporate, cultured and cosmopolitan crowd.
Davies, who is also the publisher of the popular news website, metronews.ng, disclosed that the official opening of Liquid Lounge Plus is scheduled for Friday and that it would be declared open by Mr. Steve Ayorinde, the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture in Lagos State. “Coming at a time when the hard-working governor of Lagos State is walking the talk of his resolve to develop and promote tourism, we are happy to play host to the tourism commissioner and even happier we have his support in contributing our quota to making Lagos a one-stop state for pleasure and business,” Davies declared. Artistes like Small Doctor and several new raves and DJ Consequence will thrill guests all night.
