A Nigerian man in his early thirties, Temidayo Adeyehun, yesterday escaped been lynched by an angry Lagos mob after he was caught making out with a 32yr-old man in the man’s apartment in Isolo area of Lagos State.
Temidayo was said to have visited his same sex partner who was celebrating his birthday on October 1, 2017, when they were caught by his partner’s younger brother who alerted the youths in the community.
The whereabouts of Temidayo, who lives at LCHE, Jakande Estate in Isolo, is currently unknown.
It was reported that he and the other man simply identified as Tope ran through the back door of Tope’s apartment before the angry youth in the community could reach them.
Recall that the Nigerian Government had passed the Same Sex Prohibition Act into law which criminalizes any form of sexual association with the same gender, the law proposes a 14yrs jail term for anyone caught in the act.
So far, no fewer than 20 persons have so far been jailed over Gay and Bisexual related offenses by the Nigerian Judiciary.
As at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of Temidayo and Tope remains unknown. The police are reportedly on the trail of Temidayo and his partner Tope.
The community members have also launched a manhunt for him and Tope as their action is viewed as taboo and a pollution of the land which will require sacrifices to be made.
