In a desperate move to reclaim their jobs, the sacked management staff of the Nigeria Football Federation on Monday stormed the Asokoro residence of the former Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Dr Admos Adamu to plead with him to come to their rescue.
The Extra-Ordinary Congress of NFF last Saturday relived all the management staff of their plum positions after dissolving the Aminu Maigari-led Executive Board.
Adamu, a former Executive member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), is still very influential in sports circle.
The management staffs were led on the ‘save-our-jobs mission’ by the erstwhile General Secretary, Musa Ahmadu.
Others were Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, Director of Competition; Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, Director of Technical and Mr. Adama Director of Marketing.
Prompt News gathered that Adamu, told the embattled former NFF top brass that he had nothing to do with the recent event in the NFF, advising them to meet those in government.
We recall that some of them got the jobs through the influence of Adamu before he was banned by FIFA.
But, as soon as he had problem with the world soccer ruling body, they abandoned him and only remembered him now that they have problem.
