Play Network Nigeria recently introduced The Play Woman. An initiative that is aimed at millennial women with the mission of advising, inspiring, connecting and creating a community that emboldens the Woman! Understanding the power of women and supportive relationships The Play Woman will connect women across industries through online and offline topic focused content, monthly social events and workshops that foster self development.
The representation of The Play Woman is a strong, motivated, creative, sociable and confident individual with the vision of personal, professional and communal growth. She is socially, politically and economically aware and aims to positively contribute through her chosen career path.
Meeting like-minded women can be a task in itself but The Play Woman, headed by Naomi Nwagboso, will be a space where women who are working towards being great in their own right, can come together to reap the benefits associated with gender specific networking.
The first of such events supported by The Play Woman is a whiskey business evening, which will hold on Sunday 23rdOctober at 6 pm at Thomas and Ray, Wuse 2, Abuja. The theme is exploring research in entrepreneurship with the following guest speakers:
Arese Ugwu – Founder Smart Money Africa, and author of The Smart Money Woman; a book with a creative spin that details the best way for the 21st Century African woman to manage her money and better her financial situation.
Charles Okpaleke – CEO, Play Network
Prof Al-Mustapha Ussiju Medane – Research/Policy Analyst and SA to the president of the Senate on Research and Documentation
Xavier Carbonel – Country Manager, Remy Cointreau.
The official launch of The Play Woman; a cocktail and cupcake themed networking event will be on Saturday 12thNovember 2016 at Shop and Play, Wuse 2, Abuja.
