The Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio is a man of proven and immense generosity, a lover of humanity and an embodiment of philanthropy, whose milk of human kindness, like an inestimable fountain, has endlessly flowed to whet parched throats and soothe frayed nerves across the land.
Distinguished Senator Akpabio’s philanthropic activities cut across many spheres of the society and transcend ethnic, social and religious boundaries, with a devotion of a substantial chunk of his private resources towards the care and service of not just the less privileged, but also to humanity as a whole. The man, whom many describe as a man of excellence, integrity, and an exemplary leader; again played his usual major roles recently, at an event that had the blessings of prominent indigenes, weeks back, when he commissioned some constituency projects he executed for the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District. Some of the projects commissioned include open stores at the Timber Market Utu Edem Usung and solar-powered borehole projects at Ibiakpan Ikot Obio Ekere both in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area. Other projects commissioned by Senator Akpabio are solar-powered water borehole with one kilometer radius reticulation at Mbiabong Ikon village, open market stores at Obo market, Oduk and classroom blocks at Ibiaku Ntok Okpo all in Ikono Local Government Area. Meanwhile, the second phase of the commissioning of more than 50 other constituency projects executed by Senator Akpabio across the 10 Local Government Areas of the Senatorial District, took place recently.
