SMALL GIRL WITH BIG GOD: HOW POPULAR ACTRESS MIMI ORJIEKWE ACQUIRED A LEKKI MANSION FROM HER BILLIONAIRE LOVER MIKE IKUKU

Published

on

The metaphor “Small girl with big God” has fast become a catchy and popular phrase trending on social media, most especially in the Nigerian cyberspace. Ironically the term has been changed from its original meaning to a demeaning reflection of negativity as it now denotes how a selected group of girls with flamboyant lifestyles and a questionable source of income guise under the belief that they are serving a “Big God who is always by their side”. These girls go from cladding in expensive clothing and adornments to embarking on exotic trips and vacations, clouding the cyberspace with tweets about how they are “blessed” with exotic mansions to lay their heads after the day’s “hard work”. They are mostly seen with conspicuous hashtags like “Daughter of grace”, ‘Small girl, big God’, ‘Jesus baby’ and a host of others on their social media pages.

A typical example and a clear case of small girl with big God is a renowned Nollywood actress Mimi Orjiekwe whose ‘hard work’ has recently received blessings from her sugar Daddy, Billionaire Mike Ikuku recently. Mimi who appears to hold a magic wand of a “big god” was all joy as she took to her Instagram page to share images of her latest acquisition of a brand new car and a beautiful house in Lekki which she captioned ‘#levelup# baby touched ground’ It is also rumoured that her extensively furnished beauty shop was also courtesy of her “big god”. Though she gives all the credit to hard work paying off, most Nigerians online wouldn’t buy into that as one can easily deduce the underlining meaning in most of her posts online. The billionaire Ikuku we gathered was allegedly a past lover to a top Nollywood actress, whose husband flies the air. Sources disclosed that the current house the actress lived in with her husband was bought by Ikuku, unknown to the husband. It would be recalled that in a recent interview, Mimi remarked that her acting career does not pay much especially when she has a family to fend for in an economy like Nigeria’s. She also talked about how she wished she found herself in a different career line like oil and gas where cash flows other than acting.
