When Tunji Olugbodi quit Prima Garnet, a marketing communication company as a top management staff to start Verdant Zeal in 2007, it was like leaving certainty for uncertainty.
But today, he has no regrets taking that tough decision, as his outfit has been a good addition to the growing marketing communication companies in Nigeria.
Though there were challenges in the beginning, he was resolute in his decision to make Verdant Zeal thrive.
Interestingly, for the well-built Olugbodi, the turning point came when he walked into a bank in the United Kingdom and came out with a 20 million pounds facility.
Today, Vardant Zeal has evolved as a dynamic and vibrant shop.
A powerful dresser, Olugbodi is driven by the zeal to move ahead of his competitors; and he has broken new grounds in the industry. He has been involved in landmark campaigns that have re-sharpened the industry.
A Fellow of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), he started his career as a Sub-editor/Judicial Correspondent with
The Guardian Newspaper, then forayed into advertising with Promoserve and Prima Garnet, where he spent 15 years.
Olugbodi, who once chaired the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) AGM Committee, is on the faculty of some financial Institutions in Nigeria.
