WHERE IS PRINCESS CYNTHIA ADEYEMI

By: Sunday Adebayo

Those who have religiously followed happenstances at the social scene would have noticed that certain people are no more given to social engagements like ever, because, this set of people are the ones in the past. If you didn’t see them at parties then; the parties were not complete. One of such people is the beautiful fashion expert, Princess Cynthia Adeyemi who appears to have drastically slowed down from social engagements. Also, not much is being heard of her like when she used to be in the news regularly. Princess, who runs a fashion outfit in the heart of Ikeja became more popular when she separated from her royal blooded hubby from Oyo kingdom, Prince Kola Adeyemi, scion of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi. Hardly anyone would forget in a hurry the bitterness that marred theirs over one-decade marriage. The marriage, which produced children, hit the rock when the couple found out too many unpleasant secrets about each other. Rather than toe the path of prudence and tactfulness, the royal couple threw caution to the dogs and engaged in a disgraceful brawl that ended their marriage. Their quarrel became the gist of the gossip and the juiciest story in town during the period. Neither the husband nor the wife was ready to tread the moral high ground and be ready to compromise, thus they took their dispute to the law court, which some years back agreed to their prayer for a divorce. In the wake of their divorce, the princess reverted to her maiden name, while Prince Adeyemi remarried in a classy wedding that became the talk of the town. Over time, Cynthia evolved into an unrepentant socialite, gracing every high society shindig and lending her presence to every friend and associate’s modest soiree. The Light-skinned and influential mother of three, according to those who should know is said to have been busy with this or that while she is now so choosy about attending social functions.
